Description
We want to take design to a new level in the villages of Kenya to demonstrate to our children the impact good design can have on their quality of life. We want to work with creative students, recent graduates and architects from around the world to develop a new village that is environmentally sustainable, is low cost, simple to build, and is contextually responsive to the site, culture, climate and unique use.
This is a chance to use design to transform the lives of some of the world’s most disadvantaged children.
The challenge is in two parts:
- Masterplan a holistic children-focused eco village complete with the facilities outlined in the brief including the homes, schools, farm and playing fields.
- Create a unique design solution for each of these facilities.
