Description
Phosphorus a design competition for a series of illuminated structures. The Phosphorus competition involves the design of a series of illuminated structures and lighting displays at the Cultural Village of Lemba, Paphos, Cyprus for the summertime Lemba Lights Festival.
CYSOA has identified five closely located sites, which will form the focal points of the Lights Festival in August 2018. The design schemes for each individual site will involve the production of a sculptural or architectural object positioned within the landscape, that can use artificial or natural lighting in order to enhance the visitor experience at night.
The five areas are located at:
01. Lemba Municipal Beach
02. The Chalcolithic Archeological Site
03. The Cyprus College of Art
04. The New Plaza
05. Lemba Valley

The winning entry will be constructed after consultation and agreement with local landowners and planning officials, and feature as the centrepiece of the Lemba Lights Festival in Paphos.
