EXHIBITION AND OPENING
The exhibiton will take place from 14th September to November 23rd at the gallery of
the Librearia Mondadori, San Marco 1345, located on the Salizada san Moise 2 minutes from St Marks square.
The opening times are 10.00 to 18.00 everyday except Sunday which will be open from 11.00 to 18.00.
The official opening of the Cyprus exhibition will be on Thursday September 11th at
1030 in the morning.
The opening will start with a discussion with Peter Cook as chair.

Overview

The theme of the Cypriot Exhibit at the Venice Biennale is that of RELAXATION – a primary activity in Cyprus. Related to the general theme of this year’s Biennale – which is BEYOND ARCHITECTURE, So we ask participating architects to go beyond their normal limits and REINTERPRET. Architects and Architectural Students from all countries are invited to compete by submitting a project that responds by attempting to REINTERPRET one, or a combination, of the eight topics listed below. There should be an attempt to reference them to the conditions of the Island of Cyprus.

Prize
€ 3000 will be awarded to the first prize winner.
The work will be exhibited at the Cyprus pavilion of the Venice Biennale. The award is intended to cover all costs for the participation of the winner in the Biennale.
€ 2000 will be divided amongst the runners-up.
