Description
Half of the world's population lives in Asia. The mere fact that Asia in general is becoming more affluent presents any business with enormous development opportunities. This substantial and maturing Asian market has been the driving force behind many new and innovative creations that strives to meet the specific needs of the Asian society. The unique characteristics of Asian communities and consumers are becoming important design considerations for apparels, interiors, products and communications. Some of these outstanding designs have had tremendous impact on the Asian quality of life. The DFA Award is presented to companies from around the world that have generated business success through great design that impacts Asia. The DFA Award places emphasis on all-round design excellence.

Jury
the First Round Screening: Representatives from Hong Kong Design Centre, the four founding members of the Hong Kong Design Centre and two local educational institutions.
the Final Selection: World-renowned professionals and experts from a variety of business, professional, academic and design disciplines

Prize
DFA Grand Award: a maximum of 10 designs
DFA Best Design from Greater China: a maximum of 10 designs originating from China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan
DFA Special Merit Award: a maximun of 5 designs
Exhibition, the HKDC Awards 2007 yearbook, a trophy
The endorsement mark will be available.
