Description
We are looking to the creative community to review, rethink and re-imagine new and original concepts of deathcare such as  products and services to care for those who have passed on and their families.
'RE-IMAGINING DEATHCARE'.
We hope this competition will inspire designers and creative talents to present fresh perspectives and push the boundaries of deathcare with novel concepts, designs and innovations.
The competition will accept entries in 2 categories:
1 - eco/green deathcare People today are more aware of how fragile the environment is and there is a growing desire to minimize the environmental impact of funerals and burials.
Be radical.
Break the boundaries of how various aspects of deathcare can be environmentally friendly. Inspire green trends and new thinking for ecological innovations – from funerals and caskets to fresh innovations and practices.
2 Wrappings of mortality -e.g. coffins, urns, niches, hearses, etc...
Since life began, the encasement of mortal remains has taken on different shapes and sizes in the various ages, reflecting the cultural and religious overtones of the times.
Present your interpretation of how design in the post-modern world can encapsulate our mortality – be it an urn, coffin, niche, hearse or other memorial items.
How could design transform what remains behind?
