Description
We are happy to announce our first international design and ideas competition! For our inaugural event, we base our challenge in one of South-East Asia's most fascinating and remote locations: Cambodia's UNESCO Tonle Sap Lake, the regions' largest fresh water basin home to a large variety of unique wildlife specimens and over 1.2million people living on unique Floating Villages.
Today the area is under severe threat from growing pollution and disease epidemics.
We call on thinkers, architects, designers, students and multidisciplinary teams around the world to join our event and help deliver change and innovation through design-led solutions.
Not only will all entries be exposed to a world class international jury, extensive media coverage and generous awards, but they will also have the possibility of directly engaging with a real-life project as we work to delivering a structure on site. The competition will precede a series of spin-off events in the form of international exhibitions and publications with the goal of raising awareness and activating a live project.
