Eligibility All

L A M P aims to introduce a broader audience to lighting design while promoting and connecting emerging talents to new markets. Each year the competition challenges designers to approach their lighting fixtures with the guidance of a theme. Competition Finalists from around the world are showcased at the annual L A M P Opening Reception in Vancouver, BC in November.
There are no limitations on material type; theme is open to broad interpretation.
Entry must be a produced, functioning light fixture, or prototype, by OCTOBER 17th 2016. Pendant, Wall, Table or Floor light fixtures are all eligible as long as their intended use is Indoor. (For Emerging & Established ONLY. Students are only required to submit a concept rendering.)
Entries MUST NOT exceed 5′ x 5′ x 5′ at 1:1 scale.
Entry must be an original creation without infringing on any creative copyright.
The submitted designs MUST NOT be, or contracted to be, mass-produced.
L A M P′s intention is to further elevate original work through media exposure and community networking with the hope of bringing the proposed product to a global market.
If the design is intended to be hard-wired, they must have the ability to be plugged in for exhibition purposes. All lights must be adaptable to 120v, North American Standard.

- ESTABLISHED (artist, architect or industrial designer’s business or professional career has been active for a minimum of 3 years.):
Early Bird (June 1- 15): $70
Regular (June 16- July 15): $85
Late (July 16- August 15): $100
- EMERGING (artist, architect or industrial designer has launched their business or professional career within the last 3 years.):
