Description
The construction will take place on an island-like space on the periphery of the city surrounded by everal urban developments as well as important road traffic and airport access infrastructures.
It is located on the eastern border of the city district of Madrid, close to the neighbouring town of Coslada, next to the Estadio de la Comunidad (Olympic Stadium), and framed by the motorways M-40 and M-201, the latter one connecting the two townships.
The Olympic Village has been conceived as a part of a larger planning project for that sector, a “New Eastern Centrality” and, in this sense, its future legacy is just as important as its role in the Olympic event.
