Overview

The goal is to transform the area of Magok into a tourist, commerce, and environment friendly waterfront area (1,170,780m2), in line with Seoul’s "Han River Renaissance Project," through the participation and input of various professionals and experts from Korea and abroad.

Description
The Project aims to advance water transportation connecting the Han River to the Yellow Sea, while creating a well developed waterfront environment that houses all necessary facilities and amenities.

Planning Objectives:
- Creation of a Leisure Area equipped with related facilities and amenities
- Promotion of a Sustainable Ecosystem and Environment of Magok
- Conformity to the Han River Renaissance Project

- Harbor facilities
- Floodgate facilities

Two Stage ("Technical Selection" and "Final Selection"), Anonymous Competition

Prize
1st Prize (1 entry): The winner gains the exclusive right valued at maxim of USD3,800,000 to design the Magok Waterfront
2nd Prize (1 entry): Award and prize money of USD100,000
3rd Prize (1 or 2 entries): Award and prize money of USD50,000
Merit Award (a maximum of 5 entries): Award and prize money of USD10,000

The Design Description Report: no more than 50 pages (including the cover page and section dividers) in A4 form (210mm×297mm) or Letter form (215.9mm×279.4mm)
Presentation Board: 9 separate A1 (594mm×841mm) sized boards
CD or DVD: Design Description Report file in MS-Word and PDF formats, Image files in JPEG, TIFF, PSD or other commonly used formats (over 300 dpi)
