Description
THE POROUS CITY is an effort of seeking out alternative cultural spaces. Spaces which are living, are in the midst of us, are textured with inconsistency, are more open, welcoming and approachable.
This effort is beginning with an invitation to participate in the process of designing a mobile cultural space. The mobile cultural space (a mechanical vehicle we are calling THE DOT*) will be an adaptable space, which can respond to the different neighbourhoods it is parked in. It will be moved around Bengaluru, parked at each site^ for two weeks at a time.
* DOT = [DOTS in transit, Department of autonomous trajectories,
^ Possible sites: parking lots, under flyovers, in congested settlements, other ideas?
