Description
Domestic space has been increasingly characterized as the place that contrasts with the urban space – featured by an exasperated accumulation of stress - and therefore as a place of restored peace and relaxation.
Decompression intended as relaxation and rest - with all its possible activities and devices within the domestic space - is the theme of the new competition organized by the Aldo Morelato Foundation.
Relaxation in its broadest sense: the rest of the five senses, and in addition of the mind and thoughts.
"Relaxation" in order to think, watch, read, sleep, listen, enjoy ...
Physical and mental rest!
The Foundation invites all participants - professionals and students - to develop a project that analyzes a domestic space in which to place furniture elements and objects for our relaxation.
It should also be noted that the Foundation is committed to the enhancement of furniture as “art” and therefore suggests to direct the project towards objects that valorize woodwork.
The project should be part of a reflection on the current trends and act as a response to the identified new housing needs as an innovative solution to offer to the market and not only as a stylistic exercise.
