Description
Announcing the project, Worlds of El Lissitzky, we’re not going to engage to the «museumification» his legacy. El Lissitzky is not a «dead classic,» to be deposited in the archives, but a living figure, whose source of ideas and new approaches not only influence art but also the NEW building of life. The avant-garde ideology, has focus on the future, today is more important than ever. For Novosibirsk, for Siberia, and for Russia as a whole.
In Russia there are no monuments either to the Russian avant-garde movement or to Russian avant-gardist. That is why this project is unique. The realization of this project will be significant for the city and Russia. And it will underline the importance of Novosibirsk as one of the centers of Russian constructivist architecture.
The first place finalist will be required to enter into an agreement relating to the implementation of the winning project in Novosibirsk and their respective rights and responsibilities. If the Organizing committee and the first place finalist are unable to reach an agreement within a specified time, then The Organizing committee will pursue negotiations with the other finalists in the order designated by the Jury.
If the finalist is not a professional architect, the finalist may be required to associate with an architectural firm of his choosing or on the recommendation of The Organizing committee.
