COMPETITION to develop the concept of a view point on the construction site of the MUSEUM OF MODERN ART IN WARSAW

The aim of the competition is to develop a concept for a viewing platform for the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and its new headquarters construction site.

Description
The aim of the competition is to implement a temporary facility that is a lookout point that also combines the function of an information point, which will be located directly at the construction site of the new headquarters of the Museum on Plac Defilad. The object implemented on the basis of the concept selected in the competition will be a temporary installation, existing until the completion of the construction of the new Museum building.
Its form should intrigue, attract and encourage entry and familiarization with information about the Museum and its construction. The object being the subject of the competition is to support the idea accompanying the Museum, stimulate intellectually, involve and bring the institution closer to the recipients as well as the process of creating its new headquarters.
Our intention is to make the object a sign of ongoing investment. We would like his form to indicate that the building of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, an institution that will share, interpret and exhibit a collection of modern and contemporary art, presents it to the widest possible audience from all over Poland and foreign visitors to the Polish capital.
The task of the competition is to choose the best viewpoint concept, based on which the general contractor, the company Warbud S.A., will prepare, in agreement with the author of the winning work, detailed designs and build this object in the designated area, separated from the construction site. The direct cost of the works related to the construction of the facility may not exceed PLN 45,000.00 net.

We would like its free formula to release the unfettered creative potential of the most talented young designers. We believe that the works highlighted in the competition will be an interdisciplinary inspiration for discovering new forms of expression.
