Overview

Design for a chair and/or table.

Description
- Seating: The main material used shall be Beech wood, Oak wood or Walnut. Chairs may be upholstered to a greater or lesser extent, if considered appropriate and veneered board or plywood.
- Tables: The main material used shall be Beech wood, Oak wood or Walnut. Tables may be veneered board or plywood.
- The use of other materials such as metals, plastics, glass, etc. is allowed when complementary, structural or incidental to the above.

Jury
The jury will be made up exclusively of Professional Designers.

Competition Type
One-Stage, Anonymous Competition

Prize
1st Prize: 4,000 EUR
2nd Prize: 2,000 EUR
A maximum of 3 special mentions may be awarded by the jury.
The ownership of the winning entry are transfered to ANDREU WORLD, S.A., which company reserves all rights including reproduction rights, for the period established under Spanish law, in exchange for being paid the royalties that correspond to the internal policy of the company, with option to renew the contract following said legal period.

Entries
A small model of the proposed piece (scale 1:5).
A short project report, from two to four page typed in double-spacing on one side (A4 size).
CD with the plans, sketches, outlines and description necessary for understanding the design.

Timetable
15 days after the closure of the International Furniture Fair 2007 in Valencia (29 Sep) until the 15th December 2007, the works presented can be collected at the ANDREU WORLD, S.A. showroom in Chiva - Valencia.
