Description
The Biennial International Prize for Architecture "Barbara Cappochin” is a research and investigation tool into the relationship between the architect and the architectural work.
The Prize has different levels of interpretation from international analysis to local regional analysis. It is carried out in collaboration with the U.I.A (International Union of Architects) and C.N.A.P.P.C (National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscapers and Conservationists) with the aim of making the designers and builders aware of favouring quality in planning and construction choices.
The Prize proposes to:
-promote the quality of contemporary architectural projects in relation to the territory. The aim is to stimulate the debate in order to compare international and local architecture;
-bring the local residents closer to the passion for architecture, as collective interest is beneficial;
-recognize the role of the project and construction through its protagonists.

Furthermore, a Special Prize has been established for the 2007 edition that focuses on the management of detailed architectural and construction elements. Specifically, the ability to carry out innovative elements of functional excellence combined with aesthetics will be assessed.
