Overview

The aim of the competition is to find an innovative new design for a removable structure which will allow the castle to be used for concerts and public performances.

Description
The Competition is being promoted by Grizedale Arts in conjunction with Egremont and Area Regeneration Partnership as part of the Creative Egremont public art strategy. This project forms part of an ambitious regeneration strategy for the West Cumbrian town and is funded by West Lakes Renaissance and Arts Council England.

Competition Type
Two-Stage:
Entries will be judged anonymously in the first stage then the authors of the three preferred schemes will be invited to develop their initial concepts and present them to the jury panel.

Prize
Each stage two competitor will receive an honorarium of £2,000.
A winning design will be taken forward for construction.

Entry Fee
£35.00 for Professionals or £7.5 for students (to register and receive the competition brief)
