Description
The resource to overturn the tendency of Europe to make their people feel distant to compete for “being happy to be European” can be well represented today by the creativity and talent of young artists and professionals.
Atelier PAEMA, Urban Protected Area, has launched in Rome on May 21st 2012, at the Representative Office of the European Parliament in Italy, the international competition of ideas: “The Europe’s Become – architectural ideas, creative and artistic expressions for the conservation of the future of Europe “, with the patronage of the European Commission in Italy. This competition concludes a series of five meetings for Europe.
The competition represents the summary of these five meetings and aims to strengthen the dialogue between East and West, North and South, focusing on intercultural awareness as the other human face of globalization. It is an initiative open to those who feel actual the theme of “the Europe’s become” and that wish to promote the cultural heritage through an active experience, playing not only a role of passive witnesses of the different stages of the European path.
It is in this context that are called proposals of architectural design, as well as creative and artistic ones.
