Hastings Civic Square Redevelopment Ideas Competition

This is a design competition to put forward how Civic Square can become an arts, culture and heritage hub of the future Hastings city. To allow the wider community to appreciate the concept fully, design ideas are required. The outcomes of this design competition will be used as a primary vehicle for consultation and ultimately presenting to Council for consideration as part of the 2012/22 Long Term Plan.

The top three design proposals, along with the top student submission, will then be used as a primary vehicle for consultation with the community. This will be done within the formal consultation process of the Council’s Draft 2012/22 Long Term Plan. The community’s response to the design ideas will be sought and taken into account when making a final decision. facilities to be reconfigured in an effective and replicable manner.
