'dRMM are delighted to be part of this unique project to work with the Trust in recreating Hastings Pier. Our first priority is to secure approvals for the clearance of above-deck fire debris, as well as for emergency repairs to the below-deck structure. Then we shall work closely with both the Trust and the local community to redefine the Pier's potential for a sustainable future. We need a design that can work as a catalyst for further regeneration of Hastings and St. Leonards.'

Description
HPWRT are a Community-led Development Trust based in the White Rock area of Hastings. This project is aimed at spear-heading the regeneration of the White Rock area which has experienced decline since the Pier was closed in 2008. The Trust is working closely with the Local Authority and other partners with the aim of fully engaging local people in shaping their future. Central to long-term plans is a rescued pier brought into community ownership to anchor the area’s regeneration, providing much-needed employment and community opportunities. The Seafront encompasses the most deprived area in the South East of England.
