Description
The International Design Award 2011 is looking for furniture concepts and systems as well as interior designs that best meet the requirements of the future.
Hettich and Rehau are setting this design task for students all over the world wishing to take part in the competition and enter their solutions. Entries are invited for three areas from the home and working environment:
- Living rooms & bedrooms
- Kitchens and food preparation areas
- Offices
Students can work on any of these topics and enter their solutions. In terms of both design and technical intelligence, the proposals they submit are to resolve the 'tug of war' in tomorrow's home and work environment. The vision into the future should be limited to the next decade. The proposals entered may embody a single item of furniture or an entire furniture system while standing apart from classic applications. Solutions should be innovative, multifunctional and creative.

An independent jury made up of people working in the field (design professionals, teachers of design, R&D managers)
