Description
Committed to promoting the use of living plants in interiors, NATURAL BORN OBJECT DESIGN AWARD is an international award assigned to design solutions combining plants and objects in everyday use. The application of green technologies is well-established in buildings, as attested by the widespread implementation of green urban planning - terraced gardens, green walls, swimming ponds – which has proved itself to be a valuable and effective instrument for the creation of a new, environmentally friendly urbanism. Thanks to their indisputable qualities plants have become a fully-fledged sustainable building material and an essential instrument for reaching the targets of the Kyoto Protocol. Moreover, the time has come to give plants the opportunity to take part in the promotion of sustainability and well-being in design as well. In the last few years, design combining plants with objects in everyday use has been increasingly appearing, spontaneously and intuitively. It was proposed by young designers, who, often naively but enthusiastically, strove to include plants in their projects(prototypes, suggestions, or rather provocations) as they saw in design an instrument for integration of nature in interiors.
For the professional category are considered two sections:
Section A - completed projects: objects in production, prototypes
Section B - non-completed projects
or the student category shall be considered as two sections:
Section A - completed projects: objects in production, prototypes
Section B - non-completed projects

Prize
The total prize money of 4,000 euro
