New Cathedral Notre Dame de l’Assomption, Port-au-Prince, Haiti

The archdiocese proposes to discover the new Notre Dame through an international design competition. Architects the world over are invited to submit boards from which to select, this year, the cathedral to build within a decade.

Moreover, the purpose of this competition is to identify winning entries that will inform and could be selected as designs for the reconstruction of the new national cathedral in Port-au-Prince. In such cases project contracts would be negotiated and any remuneration would be unrelated to any prize award.
