We ask competitors to further improve Sinocity's public spaces by means of architectural design, urban design, landscape design or any other intervention into Sinocity.

Eligibility All interested architects and related professionals such as urban planners as well as students of architecture, urban planning and related fields may enter.

Description
Sinocity, a fictitious city in an imaginary Chinese province, reflects more reality of mid-sized Chinese cities than many will admit. The Sinocities Awards seeks to explore awards ways of dealing with this status quo of the near future. The site or multiple sites can be freely chosen on the Sinocity map with no limitations to form, size or current boundaries. There are no applicable limitations in terms of planning regulations, codes or laws. The participant decides himself which regulations are of concern and which are not.

Just to make the task more understood, we give you some very simple examples of solutions.

... invent a new green connection system
... define an innovative program for awards public facilities
... introduce community space within high rise buildings
... come up with a long-term destruction plan for bad housing

One first prize winner will be invited to the award ceremony in Shanghai, China, including a travel expense allowance to be determined by FAR.

40 Euros or 400 RMB / For students in mainland China 200 RMB

Please submit two separate plans
PLAN A (jury evaluation plan): 600mm*1800mm vertical, max. 150dpi
PLAN B (additional exhibition panel): 750mm*750mm, max. 150dpi
