Result

The winner in 2009 is the designer-duo Wai & Lanzavecchia with their design proposal PAZIALE SERIES: New expressions of skin and structure. They have been granted with a 3 months residency at the National Workshops for Arts and Crafts, 50.000 DKK from the Danish Ministry of Culture, 2 weeks exhibition in Normann Copenhagen flagship store and career coaching by Missing ink.

Overview

The award includes three months residency at The National Workshops for Arts and Crafts, located in the center of Copenhagen, with own mini studio as well as access to workshops and guidance. If accommodation is needed; an apartment is available as well.

Description
The concept behind the award is to give an opportunity for young designers to develop talent and skills under the best possible conditions. With diverse views on future design, an exciting cooperation between The National Workshops for Arts and Crafts, Normann Copenhagen and Link UP formed the foundation of Time to design new talent award in 2008.
The cooperation between the private and the public sector form a distinctive platform for the growing talent and facilitate room and space for challenging projects and ideas.
NATIONAL WORKSHOPS FOR ARTS AND CRAFTS:
A public institution under the Danish Ministry of Culture. With more than 20 years of experiences, SVKH provides facilities for painters, sculptors, artist craftsmen and women, designers, conservators and restorers working on special or experimental projects. SVKH has very large, professionally equipped, spacious facilities. Furthermore, experienced consultants, drawing on professional backgrounds, make up a unique option for practising artists, craftsmen, and designers to receive encouragement and guidance.
