オスロの新歌劇場に隣接した敷地に22000m2のムンク美術館を建設するための実施コンペ。予備審査を経て10名程度が選出され、招待建築家10名程度とともに同じ土俵の上でコンペティションステージを戦う。

Description
Competitors should deliver a master plan for the area considering how the museum programmatic logistics can be integrated within the city context; the ambition for the Munch Museum building is that it should deliver a strong conceptual and architectural solution, together with a clear and functional organization. This invitation is open to international teams, and the official competition language is Scandinavian and English.

The aim of the pre-qualification
The objective at this phase of the procurement process is to pre-qualify up to 10 suppliers for participation in a planning and design competition. Concurrent with the implementation of the prequalification, the principal is inviting other architects/ architect offices direct to participate in the competition. The architects that the promoter is inviting direct will be respected and recognised figures in the international architect environment. The 20 participants to the planning and design competition will finally compete under the same conditions.
