Description
Within the 7th Framework Program, the European Union has decided to invest on an Integrated European Project (named CombOLED) in order to reduce the overall OLED’s costs and to produce the first transparent OLED devices on large lighting area. The project will finish end of December 2011 presenting with four general demonstrators to the EU commission.
The contest is launched with the aim of connecting the research & development running activities of the early-mentioned European project with the possible future applications of the lighting industry adopting OLED device.
Based on extremely innovative transparent feature and on the final low cost of the next-to-come OLED device investigated by the project, participants are invited to submit solutions preferably on the following market fields:
- Mood lighting / emotional lighting
- Static signage
- Low-content information display
