Description
Taoyuan Museum of Arts is located at the Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) Taoyuan Staion Zone, adjacent to Taoyuan International Airport MRT A19 station. The site occupies approximately 98,600m2. The architecture of Taoyuan Museum of Arts shall integrate Taoyuan local cultural characteristics and the sparkling faery landscape across the Taoyuan tableland, and sculpt the building itself to become a part of museum collections. The target of Museum function is to collect and exhibit locally, combine digital multimedia technology to form Art playground, as to make up a deficiency of professional art education for Taoyuan area.
Taoyuan Museum of Arts undertakes a role to “connect international trends”, “promote local history” and “nourish young talents”; also, to provide a platform for domestic and international art interflows. Thus, Taoyuan City Government sincerely invites all design teams, both local and abroad, to participate in this competition and create a new iconic landmark for the city.
- Total site area: 9.86 ha (98,600 m²).
- Estimated floor area: approx. 33,930 m².
- Construction budget: approx. NTD 2,375,000,000
- Design and Supervision Service Fees: Budget amount of this procurement: NTD 237,500,000 dollars (Service Fee for this procurement is calculated with a fixed percentage of 6% of the total construction cost)
