アジア太平洋の文化遺産の保存に関する賞。築造から50以上経過する建物で、個人や組織の資金で2007年10月から2008年10月までの間に改修が行われ、最低1年以上使用されているものが対象。住宅や商業、文化、宗教、工業、公共関連の施設、庭、橋などに加え、主要要素が50年以上経過する歴史的街区や都市施設、集落なども対象となる。国家予算のみで行われた改修事業は対象外。2005年からは、過去10年以内に建築された、歴史的文化遺産のコンテクストに建つ新しい建築物も対象となっている。

対象作品 To be considered for the Awards, the conserved or restored building or buildings must be over 50 years old. The works must have been completed within the last 10 years and before the announcement date of the awards (i.e. the project must have been complet

Description
Projects involving buildings more than fifty years old and which were completed within the last ten years are eligible for consideration. Houses, commercial, cultural, religious, industrial or institutional buildings, gardens and bridges, for example, are all eligible for consideration. Public-private partnership projects such as historic towns, urban quarters and rural settlements where the essential elements are more than 50 years old are all eligible.

In addition to the established awards the "Jury Commendation for Innovation", introduced in 2005, will also be judged. The commendation recognizes newly-built structures which demonstrate outstanding standards for contemporary architectural design which are well integrated into historic contexts.

Jury
The Jury shall be composed of
1 representative from UNESCO, and
6-8 international conservation experts renowned for their knowledge of conservation in the Asia-Pacific Region.
