Description
The Furniture Design Award (FDA) is an annual furniture design competition organised by the Singapore Furniture Industuries COuncil (SFIC). It was first launched in 1993 an the Furniture Design Competition and was renamed FDA in 2003. The Award aims to uncover budding design talents and be a reputable showcase for the unique creations of Asia's best creative minds. Increasingly, the Award has become a platform for exchange and networking amongst furniture manufactures and designers.
There are 3 Categories: Students Category, Young Designers Category, Open Category.

Three-Stage, Anonymous Competition (Preliminary judging only)
Prize
FDA Grand Award: S$6,000 cash, a trophy and an award certificate
FDA Honorable Mention Award: S$1,000 cash, a trophy and an award certificate
FDA Merit Awards: A trophy and an award certificate
American Hardwood Award: US$1,000 cash and an award certificate
FDA Honorable Mention Award: A trophy and an award certificate
