Description
mAAN*Y is a biennal architecture event organized by members of the Modern Asian Architecture Network (mAAN) in collaboration with partners from the host nation, mAAN*Y is a biennial architecture event, conceived as a flexible platform for the exchange of fresh ideas in the advancement of Modern Asian Architecture. Without a set format to how each host nation runs the event, mAAN*Y is specifically targeted at the younger generation, and takes place on alternate years as a counterpoint to the mAAN conference.
With the theme “Let’s not talk about architecture”, the first edition of mAAN*Y will be held in Singapore in 2010 and is co-organized by mAAN and Really Architecture (Re:Act) , a Singapore based group of visionary architecture enthusiasts concerned with the development of architecture in the Asian region. Comprising of an international ideas competition, a workshop and a conference, the event hopes to engage a broad cross section of society and disciplines in the discourse of architecture and this spirit is encapsulated in the theme.
