Description
Each entrant or team will produce a building design for an approximately 150 unit/up to 14 stories affordable, residential apartment building with a ground floor grocery store that is as close to zero net energy as possible. The competition jury will review each entry for documentation of energy performance as well as the architectural integrity of the design.
Entrants will be required to submit both design drawings and energy performance documentation. Although each component will inform the other during design, for the purposes of the submission they have been broken out into two “tasks”.

Prize
$25,000 in total prize (at least two awards, one for a student entry and one for a professional entry)
Entry Fee
Architects, Engineers, and Designers (by August 1): $85 Entry Fee + $115 Board printing fee
Architects, Engineers, and Designers: $100 Entry Fee + $115 Board printing fee
Architectural and Engineering Students or recent graduates: $30 Entry + No fee
