Description
Co-living or Co-housing is best described as a deliberate community that’s strengthened by the use of shared space and facilities, such as kitchens, utility spaces, play areas, gardens and outside areas.
The design competition is being held in partnership with bedu.uk a private developer and is open internationally to registered architects. The initial phase of the competition will require teams to submit expressions of interest and their vision of co-living, in digital format only. Up to ten practices will then be longlisted and invited to interview. Five practices will be subsequently shortlisted to participate in the second phase. Each shortlisted designer will receive an honorarium of £3,000 + VAT in total. Each team attending an interview that doesn’t make the eventual shortlist will receive a payment of £1,000 + VAT.
