概要
3月29日、30日に開催される「国際デザインセッション」での研究発表論文梗概の募集です。
セッションは全て英語でおこないます。
Modernism in design has suggested that formalism, functionalism and universalism can lead human beings to a more advanced stage --a state of material wellbeing, for example. Nowadays, however, we are confronted with grave social questions concerning issues such as environmental degradation, polarization of wealth, and the consequences of global mass consumption. In the Cumulus Kyoto 2008 conference, we will question the significance of design and designers' existence. We will promote discussion of the role and the mission of design and designers in relation to these critical humanitarian problems.
