The projects were presented at a special awards ceremony within the framework of the Architecture Days held at Campus Krems on the 28th of May, 2010.

開催概要

建築における「昼光」という要素に着目した建築のアイディアもしくは実作を募集。受賞者には1000ユーロの奨学金、ドナウ大学昼光研究施設の一ヶ月間の使用権、渡航費などが与えられる。前回(2007年)は、MoNo長嶌史明+丸岡満美が受賞している。

Task and assessment criteria
Submitted projects and design concepts should show a sensitive, unusual, new or unexpected use of natural light and highlight its influence on structures of architectural space. Sustainability, design quality, user needs and positive effects on the environment should also be considered. Both realized projects and realizable design concepts can be submitted to the competition.

Prize
The prizes are two Artist in Residence study visits for one month each in 2011 in Krems.

The organization AIR artists-in-residence, and ORTE, the architecture network of Lower Austria, are providing the prizes which include:
> Accommodation in studio apartments of AIR artist-in-residence Krems in close proximity to the town of Krems, the historic village of Stein and the Danube University.
> 1000 € grant for each study visitor, sponsored by AIR artist-in-residence.
> Travel costs from the winners’ residences to Krems and back. Provided by Velux Austria and Eckelt Glas.
> The opportunity to use the lightlab of the Department for Building and Environment at Danube University Krems throughout the month’s visit.
