Description
I. NYC BLUE NETWORK linking the five boroughs of NYC with a series of green transit hubs which incorporate electric passenger ferries, water taxis, bike shares, electric car-shares and electric shuttle busses. The transit system should work with the existing transit system, but not tax it. During the summer of 2014, this transportation system will need to accommodate the 10 million visitors of the Clean Tech World Expo. The core of the transit system should be a series of green transit hubs, 1 for each borough.
II. CLEAN TECH WORLD EXPO E3NYC in 2014
E3NYC proposes that the city of New York should establish itself as the ultimate green capital of the world by becoming host of the world’s largest cleantech event in 2014. From 5/1/2014 to 10/31/2014, Clean Tech World Expo will host 10 million visitors. Using the NYC BLUE NETWORK as transportation, the expo will be organized into six zones: the five traditional boroughs as well as the water. (Entries are required but not limited to the design of ONE ZONE ONLY).
