Description
The promoters have high aspirations for a bridge that will be 'a pleasure to cross, will respond to the local landscape, and will be deliverable and beautiful to look at.'
The bridge will provide a route over the A630 Sheffield Parkway, a busy dual carriageway which links the heart of Sheffield City Centre with the M1 motorway. It will provide a vital link for pedestrians, cyclists and horses between a new industrial and residential area and an existing woodland park. It is hoped the bridge will become a reference point for everyone using that route as well as helping to promote the regeneration of the Sheffield and Rotherham area.
The total design span is 37.8m.
The budget is £1.5m GBP excluding professional fees and VAT.
