Description
Auckland City Council is looking for outstanding design innovation, excellence and creativity.
Te Wero Bridge will connect the city with the soon-to-be-developed Wynyard Quarter. Viaduct Harbour is well-known to international sailors, Aucklanders (who passionately love their waterfront), New Zealanders and visitors from around the world. The bridge will complete a continuous waterfront connection between downtown Auckland and Wynyard Quarter to the west. Construction is expected to finish by early 2011. A project budget of NZ$35 million has been established.
Auckland City Council wishes to select designers for Te Wero Bridge on the basis of a two-stage process. There are two ways to enter Stage 1 of the process, so you will need to know which one best applies to you: a Concept Design Competition open to everyone, an Expressions of Interest process only open to professional consultant teams possessing proven experience with comparable challenges. Finalists from the Concept Design Competition who wish to participate in Stage 2, will need to join a team possessing capability proven to the satisfaction of Auckland City Council and submit an Expression of Interest proposal.
