開催概要

2012年に開催される韓国、麗水（ヨス）世界博覧会のテーマパビリオン実施コンペ。招待建築家と一般公募の建築家が無記名で同列に戦う。延べ床面積6000m2、建設費36億円の大きなコンペ。

Description
The Expo 2012 Yeosu, Korea will be held from 12 May 2012 to 12 August 2012, under the theme of "The Living Ocean and Coast: Diversity of Resources and Sustainable Activities." The ocean, the origin of life and breeding ground of living organisms of the Earth, is what we ought to preserve and treasure. Faced with threats such as social conflict, global warming, energy depletion and degradation of natural environment, we are on the threshold to seek practical solutions from the oceans. The theme of the Expo 2012 Yeosu will raise people's awareness about the values of oceans and the critical environmental issues to suggest a new ocean vision for the future generation.
